A grant of $5,000 that was awarded to the town by NYSERDA for running a successful community solar campaign has been used to completion of municipal and community greenhouse gas inventories. The inventories were developed by faculty and students at Vassar College using information provided by the town.
The step after completing the inventories is to develop climate action plans for government operations and the community. The town’s government operations climate action plan was adopted in March 2024. A community climate action plan is currently being developed.
